The Indian Hotels Company Limited, owner of the Taj brand, has announced a series of measures to help customers affected by coronavirus disruption.

As well as implementing additional hygiene measures across its hotels, the company said it would waive individual cancellation fees at all Taj, SeleQtions and Vivanta properties for stays through April 30, 2020.

Customers who wish to modify or cancel their booking are requested to do so online or via the Contact Centre at least 24 hours before their arrival date in order to take advantage of the waiver.

Those who made reservations through a travel agent or third party should contact their booking provider for information on their cancellation policies.

Taj also said it would pause the expiration of all Taj InnerCircle points due to expire between March 16 and April 30. Members whose tier status was due to be assessed in the same period will now be assessed on May 1.
