Aeroflot, the Russian flag carrier and a member of the SkyTeam alliance, took delivery of its first A350-900 in February this year.
Here’s a chance to try its impressive-looking new business class cabin, with a good deal from India.
Aeroflot A350-900 business class
Our friend Henrik Olsen over at Inside Flyer recently shared photos of Aeroflot’s new A350 business class - and it looks great!
Their A350 aircraft has a three-class cabin layout with 316 seats - 28 business class suites with fully-flat seats, 24 in premium economy and 264 in economy class.
Of most interest to us is the "suites-style" business class cabin, which is set up in a 1-2-1 configuration and even features doors and a self-service bar.
We’re also promised the latest-generation Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, HD screens and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Aeroflot is the launch operator of the A350 in Eastern Europe and CIS, and has 22 of the birds on order.
It plans to fly them to destinations including London, Dubai, New York, Miami, Osaka and Beijing.
Aeroflot business class fares, Delhi - New York
Aeroflot is currently selling return business class fares from Delhi to New York for around INR 176,000 - which is about as cheap as it gets for the moment (unless you want to fly with Ukraine International!):
You can book up until March next year, and the legs to and from India are currently scheduled to be operated by the A350. Obviously aircraft swaps can and do happen, so there are no guarantees - though New York is also slated to get the A350 - so you could end up flying it all the way!
Aeroflot's Boeing 777 aircraft feature 30 flat beds seats in business class, arranged in a 2-2-2 format.
Booking any kind of travel at the moment comes with the usual health warnings, though I always feel more confident making purchases with a reliable credit card provider like American Express (which have been very good about refunding me for three expensive tickets after Swiss went quiet on me).
Guru has business commitments on the East Coast of the US in the early part of the year, so I’m tempted to lock in one of these tickets for next year (while hoping for the best!).
Anyone thinking of trying Aeroflot’s new A350 business class?
