Great business class fares from India to Australia

If you fancy swapping Mumbai for Melbourne, then pack your bags because Malaysian Airlines has released some great business class fares from India to Australia.

The best fares are from Delhi to Perth (via Malaysian’s hub in Kuala Lumpur), priced from just INR 86,963 return. For example:

For just a little more you can add Melbourne or Sydney into the mix and start planning a multi-city holiday. The fares are wide open, with good availability until September.

These prices are a steal for business class on such a long journey – though there are a couple of caveats. You’ll need to pick your flights carefully, as some sectors may be operated by a short-haul aircraft.

Wherever possible, you’ll want to select flights operated by Malaysian’s A330s, which offer fully flat seats in a 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 alternating configuration.

Also bear in mind that the itineraries we’ve found feature long connections in Kuala Lumpur on the return. For this price, I can live with that – and I’d probably be tempted to choose as long a layover as possible so I could enjoy some time in the Malaysian capital.

Malaysian is a member of the Oneworld alliance, meaning you’ll have access to fellow Oneworld member Qantas’ excellent lounges in Australia. Emerald Oneworld members can access the Qantas first lounges – which we rate as among the best in the world.

I used ITA Matrix to find these fares and availability. Tickets can be booked via online travel agents or directly with Malaysian.

Anyone plan to take advantage of these great fares?
