There’s now another option to consider when flying from Mumbai to London, as Vistara gets ready to enter the crowded field.
Vistara Dreamliners will soon fly to the UK capital
Despite Air India, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic all flying between the two cities, Vistara is adding its own non-stop flights as part of the ‘transport bubble’ agreement between India and the UK.
Beginning January 16, 2021, Vistara will fly between Mumbai and London Heathrow three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All flights will be operated by Vistara’s brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring business, premium economy and economy cabins.
The Dreamliner experience includes seats that recline into fully flat beds in business class, complimentary food and beverages in all cabins and over 700 hours of in-flight entertainment. Vistara is also offering complimentary Wi-Fi internet connectivity onboard, allowing customers to stay connected throughout their flight.
Leslie Thng, chief executive officer of Vistara, said:
"We are delighted at the very positive response to our service between Delhi and London Heathrow, which has encouraged us to further strengthen the network by adding connectivity from Mumbai. We see considerable demand between the two countries, and remain optimistic about the future."
The flights schedule is as follows:
Roundtrip business class fares start at £1,309 from London, or INR 157,599 from Mumbai. The full pricing matrix looks like this:
Vistara says it will be able to accept all eligible customers meeting visa and entry requirements in both the countries, as specified by the respective government bodies. The airline encourages customers to “fully understand these guidelines before making their bookings”.
Vistara is a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines.
